Shell Oil Health & Safety 2-day event

The Shell Oil Health & Safety 2-day event was a rousing success. Our display was highly trafficked, and we received many questions, comments, and much positive feedback.  Most everyone identified with the need to be more proactive in the prevention of eye injuries.  Many Shell employees expressed interest in the cycling, biking, motorcycle goggles, and general-safety goggles with OSHA’s specification (Z-87).  I was so excited to be able to present products that meet each of these needs, and satisfy the OSHA requirements as well!

To say that the WLIB radio interview went well would be an understatement!  Just moments after the interview aired, my phone started ringing non-stop. Calls were coming in so fast that I could not answer them all.  I received many messages and requests for more information, and callers were very pleased to know that awareness for eye safety is being brought to the surface.  You would have had to have been present to hear the excitement in their voices. Mothers have been looking for these sports safety goggles.

As of yesterday, I am still receiving calls resulting from the interview.  The majority of the calls are coming out of New York.   The radio host informed me that they will give BE’s full e-blast coverage to their employees and their syndicated affiliates.

As concerns future events, on Thursday, June 17, 2010, BE’s will display the goggles and promotional materials from 4:00-7:00 at Hewitt Associates, in The Woodlands.  Stop by if you have the chance.
